Our plans for this year.
We are ready excited about our new plans for our rescue guinea pigs. This is something we've been thinking about doing for quite awhile now.
A Wellbeing & Recovery Shed
This will be a dedicated space which will allow us to goom guinea pigs with matted or neglected fur and treat unwell or recovering guinea pigs in a calm, warm environment. It will provide a proper recovery area after illness or medical care. This shed will be all about comfort, care and wellbeing.
We are also planning a new boys’ shed with purpose-built enclosures. The demand for space for male guinea pigs is huge, and this will allow us to take in more boys who urgently need rescue and house them safely and comfortably. This will reduce waiting times for guinea pigs needing help
We will be putting our own money into this project because we truly believe in what we are building, but we will also need donations and support from our community to help us achieve these plans.
To help reduce costs, we will be building the sheds ourselves and are also looking for second-hand double-glazed windows to use in the build.
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us move closer to completing the new sheds and improving the care we can offer.
